Did you know that May is Healthy Vision Month? While we like to think eye health is front and center on everyone's radar year-round, we realize that may not be the case for you. With commitments and responsibilities, it's easy to put your eye health on the back burner as long as your vision is serving you well.
However, like many conditions, vision problems can sneak up on you so it's important to make eye health a priority by seeing an eye doctor once a year. In fact, the American Academy of Ophthalmology now recommends that aging adults, even those with no signs of risk factors for eye diease, get a baseline eye disease screening at age 40 -- the time when early signs of diesease and changes in vision begin to occur.
