Back to School/Back to the Doctor!

School-aged kids will be starting back to school this month. Crazy, right? Please remind friends and family to get their children's eyes examined annually to maximize their learning potential in the classroom. According to Prevent Blindness America, more than one in 5 preschool-aged children have a vision disorder. Identifying vision problems early is key to learning success.
It's also a wonderful time of year to evaluate if you have had your annual check-up. With the end of the year just around the corner, it's easy to let time pass without these critical eye examinations.
While not common, we recently learned through one of our studies that a few cornea transplant recipients that had no warning symptoms were experiencing rejection episodes. They had no idea there was an issue and thankfully at routine eye exams the issue was discovered in time to treat the episodes successfully so their graft did not have to be replaced. We recommend all cornea transplant recipients be seen at least once per year to ensure the health of their graft. If you are a patient of
Price Vision Group, you can call their office to schedule your visit at 800-317-3937. Please be aware that for routine annual examinations scheduling can be as much as 3 months out so it's important to call before your exam is due.
