We Bring Hope

Presbyopia

Presbyopia literally means “old eyes”.  As we approach middle age, the crystalline lens inside the eye becomes stiffer and does not change shape and position as easily to adjust for viewing things up close. The most common treatment is to use reading glasses or bifocals. A number of new surgical treatments are being developed for presbyopia. The Cornea Research Foundation is evaluating a non-surgical treatment to train your brain to perceive detail more clearly, which may be very helpful for presbyopia.
