Focus on Education

Each year the Foundation and the Price Vision Group sponsor an all-day seminar for optometrists that features programming on the latest treatments and surgeries available for the anterior segment of the eye and cornea. Attendees earn approved continuing education credits while learning about the newest ophthalmological medical devices, pharmaceuticals, and practice management techniques.

Dry Eye Disease: Lids, Inflammation and Management Format

Dry Eye Disease comprises several distinct clinical entities. Each type of dry eye has specific signs and symptoms and should be managed in a tailored approach. The impact of allergy and non prescription therapy are discussed.

Dr. Brad Black will cover the various premium IOLs including patient selection and post-operative care.  Tips and tricks for post-op management will also be covered.

“The Great Debate” – Toric IOL vs LRI!
Bradley Black, M.D.

When to choose a toric IOL vs a limbal relaxing incision will be covered by Dr. Brad Black.  He will give guidelines on discussing these options with your patients as well as what to look for post-operatively.

New Developments in Anterior Segment Treatment/Surgery

In the ever changing world of cornea, Dr. Francis Price, Jr., will update optometrists on the latest surgeries for Fuchs’ and keratoconus.  He will also bring you up-to-date on new treatments for a variety of anterior segment disorders.

How to Build a Successful Dry Eye Practice
Todd Zelczak, O.D., F.A.A.O.

This talk will offer a practical and common sense plan for incorporating dry eye treatment into clinical practice.  Dr. Todd Zelczak will focus on increasing treatment success and compliance through better patient communication.

Contact Lens Options for Irregular Cornea: Alternatives to RGPs
Marsha Malooley, O.D., F.A.A.O.

Gas permeable contacts have always been the gold standard in vision correction for patients with irregular corneas.  Dr. Marsha Malooley will take a deeper look at alternative contact options for KCN, pellucid and irregular astigmatism.
